Food For The Poor (Guy) Inc. conducted a needs assessment and as a result were able to assist 54 Warrau families on September 15, 2023, in Akaoani Creek Pomeroon, Region 2.
The items given were Cleaning items (Disinfecting Wipes), Food items (Mana Rice Meal, White rice, Green Peas, Mackerel in Brine), Clothing (T-Shirt) and Personal Care items (Hand Soap).
The Warrau families were extremely overjoyed and grateful for the impactful contribution made by FFTP (Guy) Inc.
The Warrau are an indigenous Amerindian people inhabiting northeastern Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Suriname. Most Warrau people inhabit the Orinoco Delta region of Venezuela, with smaller populations found in neighboring Guyana.
