As we continue to serve the most vulnerable, FFTP (Guy) Inc. donated 15 boxes of personal care kits to one (1) health center, five (5) health posts, and three (3) hospitals. The official handover ceremony took place at the Port Kaituma District Hospital. Each box contained seventy-two (72) kits and each kit consisted of first aid and personal hygiene items.
The kits were distributed to the Arakaka Health Centre, Seebai Health Post, Canal Bank Health Post, 4 Miles Health Post, Falls Top Health Post, Taffawani Health Post, Port Kaituma, Pakera, and Baramita Hospitals.
At the simple handover ceremony, FFTP(Guy) Inc. Project Officer Mr. Orin Nelson stated, “Today marks a significant moment in our ongoing commitment to supporting those who tirelessly serve our communities—the brave and dedicated health workers who stand at the frontline of our healthcare system. These hygiene kits, thoughtfully assembled with the well-being of our healthcare heroes in mind, contain essential items that extend beyond personal care. These tokens are expressions of appreciation, recognition, and respect for the sacrifices made by our healthcare workers every day. These hygiene kits are a small token of our immense appreciation for the invaluable contributions you make to our collective well-being. May this gesture of appreciation reflect the dedication and compassion that define the heart of Food for the Poor (Guy) Inc.”
Speaking on behalf of Port Kaituma District Hospital was Nurse Lovern Sam, who holds the positions of Staff Nurse, Midwife, and Sister in Charge. She noted that the hospital was pleased to receive the hygiene kits from FFTP (Guy) Inc. “These kits will be very beneficial for our staff. They will further improve our protection, especially since respiratory illnesses are in the area. These hygiene kits will provide additional protection for our hygiene practices. On behalf of all the recipients of these kits, I express our gratitude and assure you that we will make full use of them.”
