Food For the Poor (Guyana) Boosts Capacity of Four Medical Facilities and the Amerindian Hostel

Food For the Poor (Guyana) is proud to announce a significant contribution to the healthcare sector with the provision of 4,152 pieces of assorted medical and essential items to four medical facilities and the Amerindian Hostel. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing healthcare services and supporting frontline medical workers and vulnerable communities in Guyana.
The assortment of medical and essential items includes: Drapes, Bed Linens, Surgical Gowns and Towels
These essential items will boost the capacity of the following four medical facilities and the Amerindian Hostel: Uitvlugt Hospital, Mahaicony Hospital, Diamond Hospital and Linden Hospital Complex.

By providing these supplies, Food For the Poor (Guyana) aims to ensure that medical professionals have the necessary resources to deliver high-quality care to their patients and that the Amerindian Hostel is better equipped to serve its residents. The donation is expected to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery in these facilities, contributing to better health outcomes for the communities they serve.

Mr. Giddings Field Offier of Food For the Poor (Guyana), stated, “We are dedicated to supporting our healthcare workers who tirelessly serve our communities. By providing these essential medical supplies, we hope to alleviate some of the pressures faced by our medical facilities and enhance their ability to provide critical care.”

This donation is made possible through the generous support of our donors and partners who share our vision of improving healthcare services in Guyana. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone involved in making this initiative a reality.

Food For the Poor (Guyana) remains committed to our mission of serving the most vulnerable in our society. We will continue to work closely with our partners and stakeholders to identify and address the needs of our communities, ensuring a brighter and healthier future for all.
