FFTP (Guy) Inc. donated a Tiller to Sandvoort Beekeeping Group

Food For The Poor (Guy) Inc. handed over a Tiller to the Sandvoort Beekeeping Group. The simple ceremony was held at the New Amsterdam Prison Hall.

Speaking on behalf of the beekeeping group was member Jamal LaFleur, who said, “We, the Sandvoort Beekeeping Group, are very grateful for this fine piece of equipment. It will assist us in many ways. A lot of beekeepers and farmers in the group are willing to work, but we do not have any source of machinery.”

LaFleur explained that the donation by FFTP (Guy Inc.) will have a great impact on their group, as it will create an avenue for them to move forward. He further divulged that the association is appreciative of FFTP (Guy) Inc. for their major donation to the association in their time of need. While the group is labeled as the Sandvoort Beekeeping Group, it also consists of farmers, particularly females who cultivate crops.

The Tiller will be able to aid in the preparation of the soil, sowing seeds, planting seeds, adding and spraying fertilizers, herbicides, and water. It is a capable machine to perform various operations on the farm, such as rotary, puddler, leveler, trailers, plow disc, and thresher. One of the most important functions of the power tiller is that it correctly seeds the crop to be planted and warms the soil before planting by burying the fertilizer in it. It is the best choice for small and medium-scale farmers as it helps to reduce animal and manpower.
