On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, the Future Group of Companies and 96.1 FM donated thirty-two (32) oral hygiene kits and ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to our 2023 Bright Smile, Bright Future Campaign. The donation was made during a simple handing over ceremony at the office of 96.1 FM – Channel 9, located on Mandela Avenue.
Speaking at the simple ceremony was Mr. Orin Nelson, the Project Associate of FFTP (Guy) Inc., who shared, “FFTP (Guy) Inc. is proud to be associated with the Future Group of Companies and 96.1 FM. We recognize that untreated cavities can cause pain and infections that may lead to difficulties with eating, speaking, playing, and learning. Hence, with the oral hygiene kits that we have received, we are optimistic that the children will be able to brush their teeth regularly and prevent cavities more effectively. We look forward to many great collaborations in the future as we seek to assist those in need.
Representing Future Group of Companies and 96.1 FM was Marketing Executive Ms. Fareesa Mohamed, who stated that FFTP (Guy) Inc. shares a close relationship with Future Group of Companies and 96.1 FM. She related that the FFTP (Guy) Inc. name speaks for itself not only in Guyana but worldwide. Hence, the company supported the Bright Smile, Bright Future campaign without hesitation. “This initiative is undertaken to fulfill our corporate social responsibility as a company and to establish connections with corporate businesses and non-governmental organizations. Future Group of Companies and 96.1 FM are willing to support wherever they can, especially those who are vulnerable,” she stated.
The Bright Smile, Bright Future campaign aims to support oral hygiene for children in Baramita, Region 1. The campaign is intended to increase awareness about oral health and the importance of preventative care.
