FFTP (Guy) Inc. supported Impact Hub Inc Menstrual Awareness Campaign

Food For The Poor (Guyana) Inc. has thrown its support behind Impact Hub Inc.’s “Menstrual Awareness Campaign.” The items donated were body wipes, sanitary napkins, and feminine hygiene kits. The simple ceremony took place at the FFTP (Guy) Inc. Complex in Festival City, South Ruimveldt.

At the simple handover ceremony, Ms. Andrea Benjamin, CEO of FFTP (Guy) Inc., shared, “This initiative is part of FFTP (Guy) Inc.’s. strategy to improve the health and well-being of marginalized women and girls. When working with vulnerable women and girls, the challenges they face can have a harmful impact on their health and self-esteem. FFTP (Guy) Inc. is pleased to collaborate with our community partner, as we believe it will provide support and relief to women and girls.”

The CEO further explained that FFTP (Guy) Inc. has been advocating for the organization’s strategy to empower others, rather than solely providing relief. She also explained that these kinds of donations empower women and girls by prioritizing their personal care and hygiene.

Ms. Shamicka Thom, a representative of Impact Hub Inc., expressed gratitude to FFTP (Guy) Inc. for their donation of personal care and hygiene items. “This donation is greatly appreciated. Most of the time, we have to use our own funds to finance these projects. But we are forever grateful to have FFTP (Guy) Inc. on board with us,” she said.
