On Monday, April 4, 2023, Food For The Poor (Guy) Inc. made a donation to the Sandvoort Farmers Association. This was done at Sandvoort Health Centre in New Amsterdam, Berbice, Region 6, and it was able to impact an average of twenty-five (25) people from the association.
The items donated consisted of long boots, green beans, black beans, and cornmeal. Speaking on behalf of FFTP (Guy) Inc, Project Associate Mr. Orin Nelson, stated “On behalf of Food For The Poor (Guy) Inc., I would like to formally hand over these food items to the Sandvoort Farmers Association. We hope this donation will have a major impact on your lives. It is our vision to be God’s instrument to help the materially poor and renew the poor in spirit.”
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Sandvoort Farmers Association was its secretary, Diana Leitch-Hinds, who thanked FFTP (Guy) Inc. for their timely donation. She explained that the items will help the members greatly.
The Sandvoort Farmers’ Association was formed in 2017; they have 25 active members. One of the main functions of the is to advocate for the empowerment of its members. The Association is headed by an executive committee. The group is located in Region 6- Sandvoort Village, New Amsterdam.
