The 2nd group of farmers commenced their training exercise yesterday at Sandvoort, New Amsterdam. The sessions are being facilitated by Organizational Development Specialist Ms. Rozetta Williams and will be held daily from April 19-21 and 24-26, 2023; 10-2pm.
Also, aiding in the training activities over the next five (5) days are FFTP (Guy) Inc Project Associate Mr. Orin Nelson and FFTP (Guy) Inc Social Worker Mrs. Stacy Parris. In his introduction Mr. Nelson explained to the farmers the importance of the training. He explained that FFTP (Guy) Inc is optimistic that the workshop will better aid them in understanding their strengths, weaknesses and opportunities, organizational structure, roles and responsibilities, leadership, vision plan, and action points on how to achieve long and short-term goals.
Day one (1) of the session was focused on the general process and purpose of the association. The farmers of the association were also able to discuss their group guidelines/expectations over the next five (5) days. The training will also focus on the importance of teamwork, skills and identifying areas for improvement in the association.
