Food For the Poor (Guyana) Supports Blossom Inc. in Bringing Relief to Puruni Landing Fire Victims

This morning, Food For the Poor (Guyana) handed over a variety of food and personal care items, along with tarpaulins and sleeping mats, to Blossom Inc. The donation is aimed at bringing much-needed relief to migrants and members of the host community affected by the recent fire at Puruni Landing.

Blossom Inc.’s representative, Ms. Shona Jones, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Food For the Poor (FFTP) family for their unwavering support. She acknowledged the organization’s consistent willingness to assist whenever Blossom Inc. reaches out for help.

Ms. Cristel Gladestone, FFTP’s In-country Partners Coordinator, highlighted the organization’s swift response to Blossom Inc.’s call for help. “Today, we made good on our commitment by donating essential items to aid those in need,” she said. The donation included: 20 cases of mackerel in brine,2 boxes of personal care kits,20 industrial tarpaulins,3 bags of rice, 20 sleeping mats, 3 boxes of personal hygiene, kits, 1 bag of Thunderbolt flour,20 boxes of Manna rice meal and 20 cases of black beans.

Through this partnership, Food For the Poor (Guyana) continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing timely support to communities in need, helping to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the devastating Puruni Landing fire.
