Food For the Poor Guyana is proud to announce its support for the National Communications Summer Camp themed ‘Budding Broadcasters’ by providing 42 school kits for the young participants. This Vacation Media Training Programme, set to run from August 12th to August 16th, aims to engage and inspire 40 young minds, ages 7 to 12, by immersing them in the fascinating world of media and broadcasting.

The ‘Budding Broadcasters’ camp offers a unique opportunity for participants to explore various aspects of media production, including television, radio, and digital platforms. Over the course of five days, the children will be introduced to the fundamentals of broadcasting.

Thanks to the generous contribution from Food For the Poor Guyana, each participant will receive a school kit containing essential supplies to support their learning and creativity during the camp. The school kits are designed to ensure that every child is well-equipped to fully engage in the program’s activities and make the most of this enriching experience.

Food For the Poor Guyana recognizes the importance of fostering creativity and providing educational opportunities for the youth. Supporting the ‘Budding Broadcasters’ camp aligns with the organization’s mission to uplift communities and empower individuals through education and skill development.

“We are thrilled to support an initiative that not only educates but also inspires the next generation of media professionals,” said Valini Leitch, Senior Project Associateat Food For the Poor Guyana. “By providing these school kits, we hope to equip these young participants with the tools they need to succeed and ignite a passion for media and broadcasting.”
