Public Distribution in Grove/Diamond Sea Dam

Food for the Poor (Guy) Inc conducted a needs assessment in the Grove/ Diamond Sea Dam area and discovered that people (including children) are living in a deplorable manner.

We thus collaborated with ‘The Grove/Diamond Youth In Development Group’ and ‘The Friendship Community Development Council Group’ and conducted a minor public distribution on Friday. We distributed hampers to approximately 200 families. The hampers included care packages, food hampers, and cleaning supplies.

Our volunteers for this distribution included staff members from FFP(Guy) Inc, members of the Community Groups, and two (2) of our donors – Mr.& Mrs. Ramdhany.

The Groups and the residents were overwhelmed and were truly grateful for the work FFP(Guy) Inc continues to do.

FFP(Guy) Inc is cognizant of the rise in the cost of living in Guyana and plans to do more long-term work in the Communities.
