With the help of our donors, FFTP (Guyana) Inc was able to install Solar Panels at Kurupukari Primary School in Fairview Village, Region 8.
Kurupukari Primary School had numerous challenges receiving sufficient current to channel programs they needed to implement for the students.
The solar panels were installed successfully with equipment that caters to the harvesting and storage of 8000-watts at the school.
With this new system, the primary and the nursery schools will benefit tremendously; and interactive learning with the use of information technology will be enhanced.
The Headmaster, Mr. Quado Vancooten expressed his joy with this installation. He stated that he is very thankful to FFTP (Guyana) because this solar panel is the first of its kind in the region, and access to information technology will help propel the children in Fairview’s future.
A 1000-watt system was also installed at the teachers’ quarters. The teachers will now have access to electricity.
FFTP(Guyana) continues to play a pivotal role in the development of Guyana by accessing the needs of each region and delivering accordingly.
